Jayasurya Sevalur Mahendran has had a varied and impressive work experience since 2018. In 2018, they were an Intern at Saipem, a Machine Learning Intern at Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, a SMART INDIA HACKATHON 2018 HARDWARE EDITION participant for the Government of India, and an Industrial Automation Intern at Zenmaq Automation Private Limited. Additionally, they were a Team Lead for the Smart India Hackathon 2018 Software Edition, where they designed an Arduino and Amazon Alexa voice service based smart home automation project based on smart energy meter to monitor power consumption by electronic devices. Jayasurya also presented a project on Efficient Energy Usage in Railways using Genetic Algorithm and Greener ways to generate more electricity at Railway Stations and Trains. In 2019, they were a Graduate Research Aide (Deep Learning) at ASU College of Health Solutions and a Graduate Research Assistant at Cooperative Robotics Systems Lab at Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University. In 2020, they were a Software Developer and Robotics Software Developer at Digital Dream Labs, where they designed complex webpages and interactive dashboards using React, D3, Redux, and deployed microservice on AWS EC2 instances with Docker and MySQL database. Additionally, they helped in automation of Data Workflow. Currently, they are a Software Engineer at Miso Robotics.

Jayasurya Sevalur Mahendran has a comprehensive educational background. Jayasurya attended Kendriya Vidyalaya from 2004 to 2015. Jayasurya then obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation and Control from Anna University from 2015 to 2019. Mahendran furthered their education by obtaining a Master of Science degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Arizona State University from 2019 to 2021. Additionally, Mahendran has obtained numerous certifications from various institutions, such as the University of Toronto, deeplearning.ai, Google Cloud Platform Certified, University of Alberta, IBM, Coursera Course Certificates, Stanford University, One Fourth Labs, and NPTEL, ranging from Self Driving Cars Specialization to Python : Joy of Computing.
