Cathy Herd

Cathy Herd has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Cathy is currently the owner of Uptown Medispa, a medical spa. Prior to this, they worked as the Director Of Marketing And Public Relations at Branded Pros, where they specialized in marketing strategy, corporate branding, and digital media. Cathy also held various roles at The Miss America Organization, including President, Director of Operations, and Partner Development, where they were responsible for fundraising and training and communication. Additionally, Cathy has experience as a consultant, both through their own company Cathy Herd Consulting and with a nonprofit organization, where they focused on organizational development, marketing, public relations, and branding. Cathy started their career as a professional actress, with credits in national commercials, television, film, print, and theater. Cathy was also Miss Iowa 1992, where they gained experience in public relations, recruitment, public speaking, and brand management.

Cathy Herd has a Bachelor's Degree in Communications from the University of Iowa, which they obtained between the years 1986 and 1992. Prior to that, they completed their High School education at Muscatine High School from 1984 to 1986.

In terms of further education, Cathy obtained multiple certificates in Digital Marketing and Marketing Strategy from Cornell University. Cathy completed a Certificate program in Digital Marketing in 2019 and another one, also in Digital Marketing, also at Cornell University, in the same year. Prior to these, they completed a Certificate program in Marketing Strategy from Cornell University between the years 2018 and 2019.
