Karla Picado Valverde is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management, strategic partnership development, and information management within humanitarian and cultural contexts. Currently engaged in a Master's program in Natural Resources Management, Karla previously served as the MERL and strategy support specialist at the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, where oversight of projects in Mexico, Colombia, Bolivia, and Guatemala highlighted the role of universities and indigenous communities as key stakeholders. As a LATAM projects coordinator, effective communication among project leaders was established, enhancing the operations of over 30 initiatives.
