Saurabh Gulati has a diverse work experience, starting in 2014 as an Associate System Engineer at IBM. Saurabh then joined Georgia Institute of Technology in 2017 as a Graduate Research Assistant, working on analyzing gene expression and alternative splicing patterns in cancer cells. In 2018, they interned at The Jackson Laboratory as a Computational Sciences Summer Intern, focusing on dimensionality reduction and clustering methods for genetic sequencing data. Saurabh continued their research at Georgia Institute of Technology, where they investigated the impact of histone mutations on transposable element activity. Currently, Saurabh is a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Mission Bio, where they utilize their expertise in bioinformatics.
Saurabh Gulati completed their Bachelor's Degree in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati in the years 2010 to 2014. Saurabh then pursued their Master of Science in Bioinformatics from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2017 to 2018. In addition to their formal education, Saurabh obtained certifications in Biology Meets Programming: Bioinformatics for Beginners from Coursera in May 2017, and in Machine Learning from Coursera in October 2016.
