Karl Sylvester

Karl Sylvester is an accomplished medical professional and entrepreneur with extensive experience in healthcare and academia. Currently serving as an Executive in Residence at Mission BioCapital since February 2022, Karl collaborates with the MBC team on deal sourcing and diligence evaluations for investment opportunities. At Stanford University School of Medicine since October 2016, Karl holds the position of Professor of Surgery and Pediatrics and serves as Associate Dean for Maternal Child Health Research, leading multi-disciplinary teams in the care of newborns with congenital anomalies.
