Amber Myers

Medical Director at Mission Veterinary Partners

Amber Myers has a diverse work experience in the veterinary field. Amber began their career with an internship at Moore Equine Veterinary Centre in 2011. Amber then worked as a veterinarian at the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, where they obtained their certificate of qualification. Amber also served as an associate veterinarian at Sault Animal Hospital, where they provided mixed animal services and specialized in preventative medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, and dental care, among other services. Amber later joined Wixom Family Pet Practice as an associate veterinarian before transitioning to a role as a relief veterinarian. Amber then worked at the American Association of Equine Practitioners as a veterinarian, specializing in equine medicine until 2021. Currently, they hold the position of associate veterinarian and medical director at Mission Veterinary Partners.

Amber Myers pursued their education in various institutions. Amber began their academic journey at Professional Association of Therapeutic Riding International, where they obtained a certification as a Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor in the field of Special Education and Teaching. Following this, they enrolled at Lake Superior State University from 2003 to 2007, focusing on studying Biology and Chemistry. Later on, they attended Michigan State University, where they completed their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Veterinary Medicine from 2007 to 2011.
