William “mac” McHenry

William “Mac” McHenry serves as a Senior Advisor to the Director and Intelligence Community Lead at the Defense Innovation Unit since August 2019, focusing on strategic initiatives for operations and engagement across the Intelligence Community, Fourth Estate, and Commercial Sector. McHenry has experience leading diverse teams and developing engagement strategies that significantly increased partnered projects. Additional roles include Senior Advisor to MissionLink Next, Member of the Board of Directors for The Alliance for Commercial Technology in Government, and Founder of Perceptive Solutions L.L.C., emphasizing the technology and government interface. Previous positions include leadership roles in various defense and intelligence capacities, such as Operational Director at the Defense Intelligence Agency and Foreign Service Officer at the U.S. Department of State. McHenry holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from The Citadel and a Master of Science in Global Leadership and Economics from the University of San Diego, along with advanced military education from USAF Air War College and Marine Corps University.
