Marisa Chiu

Marisa Chiu, CPA, CA, currently serves as the Director of Finance and Treasurer for the City of Mississauga, providing strategic oversight to a team of approximately 110 employees and managing the city's business planning and budgeting processes since March 2023. Additionally, Marisa is the Chief Executive Officer of Enersource Corporation, overseeing administrative and accounting functions on behalf of the City. Previous experience includes a tenure at the Toronto District School Board, where Marisa advanced through roles such as Comptroller of Finance & Enterprise Risk and served as Interim Executive Officer of Finance. Marisa's career began in public accounting at firms including BDO Canada LLP and PricewaterhouseCoopers, following a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management.
