Maryann Meadows is a skilled biologist with extensive experience in animal care and conservation education. Currently serving as Biologist I at Mississippi Aquarium since August 2019, Maryann has previously worked as an Animal Experience Specialist at Newport Aquarium from May 2016 to August 2019, where engagement with audiences on conservation and proper animal handling was a key focus. Additional experience includes a brief role as a Life Sciences Apprentice at Indianapolis Zoological Society in late 2018, where Maryann received basic zoo keeping training and contributed to creating enrichment for marine species. Prior experience as a Teacher's Assistant at Thomas More University involved supporting chemistry labs and student learning. Maryann holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Thomas More University, completed in 2019, and a high school diploma from Notre Dame Academy.
