Ashley F. G. Norwood is an accomplished educator and media professional with extensive experience in journalism and broadcasting. Currently serving as a Visiting Professor in the Department of Journalism and Media Studies at Jackson State University since January 2018, Ashley also holds positions as an Adjunct Professor and Radio Broadcaster for Mississippi Public Broadcasting. With a background as a producer for @Issue on MPB TV and a principal at FG Media Productions, LLC, Ashley has been engaged in freelance video and photo productions since November 2014. Prior roles include Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Mississippi, news cast freelancer for NPR, and higher education reporter for Mississippi Today. Ashley earned a Master's Degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the University of Mississippi and holds dual Bachelor's degrees from Jackson State University in English Language and Literature.
