Desare Frazier is an accomplished media professional with a diverse background in journalism and communications. Currently serving in the News Department at Mississippi Public Broadcasting since February 2015, Desare has previously held roles including Adjunct Professor at the University of North Alabama and Executive Director of Communications at MINACT, Inc., where responsibilities included managing internal and external communications. A seasoned reporter, Desare's experience spans from anchoring at WAPT TV to being an Education Reporter at WYFF TV, with earlier roles as Weekend Anchor/Producer at WKTV TV and Public Affairs Director at WTEN TV. Desare holds a Master’s Degree in Political Communication from the State University of New York at Albany and a Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.

Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) provides relevant instructional and public affairs programming to Mississippians through its statewide television and radio network. MPB enhances the work of educators, students, parents and learners of all ages by providing enlightening programming and educational resources. MPB’s locally-produced programming focuses on the people, resources and attractions that make Mississippi unique. Children’s programs constitute a major portion of the daytime and weekend morning schedules. Since 1970, MPB has won more than 350 national and regional awards, including Emmy, Edward R. Murrow, and Parents’ Choice Awards.
