Michelle Mangum is an accomplished workforce development specialist with extensive experience in education and training across various sectors. Currently serving as the Workforce Development Specialist at Mississippi Public Broadcasting since September 2023, Michelle focuses on enhancing education and career preparedness for K-12 students and engaging community stakeholders. Previous roles include Education Recruiter Specialist, Training Specialist, and Vice President of Family Opportunities. With a history in human resources and training from reputable organizations such as the Mississippi State Department of Health and the Department of Human Services, Michelle has developed and implemented numerous training programs, mentored staff, and coordinated employee development initiatives. Michelle holds a Master of Public Administration from Belhaven University and a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications from Jackson State University.

Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) provides relevant instructional and public affairs programming to Mississippians through its statewide television and radio network. MPB enhances the work of educators, students, parents and learners of all ages by providing enlightening programming and educational resources. MPB’s locally-produced programming focuses on the people, resources and attractions that make Mississippi unique. Children’s programs constitute a major portion of the daytime and weekend morning schedules. Since 1970, MPB has won more than 350 national and regional awards, including Emmy, Edward R. Murrow, and Parents’ Choice Awards.
