Dennis Smith

Dennis Smith is a prominent figure in the field of chemistry, currently serving as a Co-Founder and Director at Hand Technologies, LLC since May 2022, and as a Professor of Chemistry and Head of the Department of Chemistry at Mississippi State University since July 2017. Additionally, Dennis holds the position of Director at the Marvin B. Dow Advanced Composites Institute. With a rich history in materials science, Dennis co-founded Tetramer Technologies, LLC in 2001, focusing on developing innovative materials, and served as Director of Technology at Falcon Formulation & Fabrication (3F), LLC from 2014 to 2018. Previous academic roles include distinguished professorships at The University of Texas at Dallas and Clemson University, along with leadership positions in the American Chemical Society. Dennis obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Florida and a B.S. in Chemistry and Mathematics from Missouri State University.
