Yong Liang

Yong (Ethan) Liang is a GIS professional with extensive experience in spatial analysis and web development. Since April 2021, Yong has served as the GIS Coordinator at Mississippi State University, focusing on projects such as the Strategic Conservation Assessment of Gulf Coast Landscapes. Prior to this role, Yong worked as a WebGIS Developer at the CyberGIS Center for Advanced Digital and Spatial Studies, where the WhereCovid-19 web app was created and optimized. Yong's academic background includes a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's Degree in Surveying and Mapping Engineering from Tongji University. Yong has also held various positions including research assistant and project intern, contributing to significant projects involving spatial data analysis and land surveying.
