Chris Lounsbury has been with Missoula County since January 2008, currently holding the position of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) and Chief Operating Officer. They are responsible for providing oversight to various departments and serve as a key advisor to the Board of County Commissioners on topics like emergency management, labor relations, human resources, and criminal justice. Prior to this, Chris served as the Emergency Manager, overseeing emergency response and preparedness in the county. They graduated from the University of Montana with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government and from Southern Maine Community College with an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science.
