Becca Carson

Writer In Residence at Missoula Writing Collaborative

Becca Carson is currently a Writer In Residence at the Missoula Writing Collaborative and a Graduate Assistant at the Co-Lab for Civic Imagination at the University of Montana. As a Volunteer Crisis Counselor for the 988 Lifeline Suicide Prevention Hotline with the Western Montana Mental Health Center, Becca provides crucial support to individuals in crisis. Becca is a first-year graduate student in the clinical mental health track of the counselor education program at the University of Montana. Previous experience includes teaching English at Big Sky High School and Hellgate High School, along with a role as a Substitute Teacher with Missoula County Public Schools. In addition, Becca has been self-employed as a writer since May 2007. Becca holds a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling/Counselor, a Teaching Licensure in English/Language Arts Teacher Education, and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, all from the University of Montana.
