Vincent C. Flewellen

Vincent C. Flewellen serves as the Commissioner of the St. Louis City Civil Service Commission and Vice-Chair of the LGBTQ+ Advisory Board, both as a Mayoral Appointee since September 2022. As a community volunteer, Vincent actively participates as a Committee Member for the Missouri Historical Society's Education & Visitor Experience Committee, the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis's Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Committee, and the Community Engagement & Inclusion Task Force. Additionally, Vincent is a Board Trustee at Crossroads College Preparatory School and holds the position of Associate Vice President for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Chief Diversity Officer at Webster University. With prior roles that include Adjunct Professor at Washington University in St. Louis and Director of Equity & Inclusion at The College School, Vincent has a strong focus on social justice and inclusion. Education credentials include a Master of Social Work from Washington University, a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Maryville University, and a Doctor of Education from Webster University.
