Cassie Brandt, MBA, CPRE, currently serves as the Katy Trail Coordinator for Missouri State Parks, managing permits, contracts, events, and partnerships for America's longest developed rail trail since April 2022. With extensive experience in parks and recreation, Brandt previously worked as an Administrative Supervisor and Recreation Specialist for the City of Columbia, Missouri, where over 20 events were planned annually and seven facilities were managed. Prior roles include Senior Counselor at YMCA Camp Y-Koda, Center Attendant at City of Independence Parks and Recreation, and Interpretation Intern at Mount Rushmore National Memorial. Brandt holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism from the same institution.

Missouri state parks and historic sites are administered by the Division of State Parks, which is a part of the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
