Allen Wirfs-Brock

Allen Wirfs-Brock is a prominent expert in programming languages and technology, currently serving as a Pragmatic Futurist and Language Standards Geek at Wirfs-Brock Associates since October 2015. With extensive experience in the evolution of JavaScript, Allen has been a member representative and project editor for the ECMA-262 standard at Ecma International since March 2006, contributing significantly to the development of ECMAScript 2015 (ES6) during a tenure as a Research Fellow at Mozilla from 2010 to 2015. Previous roles include Principal Program Manager Architect at Microsoft, Chief Scientist at ParcPlace and ParcPlace-Digitalk, and co-founder of Instantiations. Allen Wirfs-Brock holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Oregon.
