Randy Yu

Randy Yu has extensive experience in human resources, administration, and leadership roles. Randy currently holds the position of Chief People Officer / SVP Human Resources, Communications, Administration at MISUMI USA, a role they have been in since October 2021. Prior to that, they served as Chief People Officer / VP Human Resources and General Administration at the same company from August 2017 to September 2021.

In addition to their role at MISUMI USA, Randy Yu also has experience in various leadership and advisory positions. Randy is a Chicago CHRO Governing Body Member at Evanta, a Gartner Company, where they collaborate with other C-level executives to solve critical leadership challenges. Randy is a Founding Member of the Experts Council at Hacking HR and a Board Member of the Chicago Chapter at TALK. Randy is also a Board Member at the Schaumburg Business Association.

Before joining MISUMI USA, Randy Yu held senior leadership positions at NVR, Inc., Westat, EADS North America, and Automotive Components Holdings, LLC, where they successfully transformed HR organizations, implemented strategic initiatives, and developed innovative HR programs.

Randy Yu has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University. Randy also has a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Management from Cornell University Graduate School. Randy further pursued their education by earning an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan - Stephen M. Ross School of Business. In addition to their academic achievements, they have obtained several certifications related to their field. These certifications include Certified Plan Sponsor Professional (CPSP) from the Plan Sponsor Council of America in 2023, SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in 2015, Certified Benefits Professional, Certified Compensation Professional, and Global Remuneration Professional from WorldatWork in 2013. Randy also holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI, acquired in 2013.
