Barry Cohen has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Barry started their career at Bank of America in 1998, where they held various managerial roles. As an AVP-Sr Operations Manager, they led and developed a team of 58 associates, implemented quality assurance routines, and achieved unit cost reduction. Barry also served as an AVP-Senior Team Manager, coordinating the ramp-up activities for a new Tax Reporting department. Barry managed a team of 12 production associates and 4 customer service representatives in the Global & Domestic Collections department. Barry co-supervised a large team in the Proof department, ensuring accurate nightly posting of customer deposits. In 2016, Barry joined MIT Federal Credit Union as an Operations Manager, responsible for managing daily functions and processing transactions.
Barry Cohen has a Master's Degree in Leadership with a concentration in Human Resources from Northeastern University, which they obtained from 2005 to 2007. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services from UMass Boston between 1994 and 1996.
In addition to their degrees, Barry has obtained several certifications. Barry has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from William George Associates, obtained in 2014. Barry also holds a Project Management & PMP Prep Certificate from the same institution, also obtained in 2014. Furthermore, Barry has an Advanced Certificate in Financial Markets and Services from Boston University, which they earned in September 2003.
