Ioannis Vlachos is an experienced orthopedic surgeon with a career spanning several decades, currently serving as the Director and Coordinator of the Orthopedic Department at Mitera Hospital since 2011. Prior to this role, Vlachos held similar positions at Henry Dunant Hospital Center from 2000 to 2011 and Athens Medical Group from 1995 to 2000. Additional expertise includes serving as a Visiting Professor at the Nurses School of the University of Athens and working as a consultant orthopedic surgeon at KAT Hospital. Vlachos's education includes a PhD from Medical School, Athens University, with a thesis on Chiari Hip Osteotomy, and various advanced training at institutions in Hannover, Bern, Birmingham, Nottingham, and Lyon. Early career experience includes serving as a General Doctor for the Greek Coast Guard.
