Sandra Girgis

Sandra Girgis is an experienced urban planner and project manager with a strong background in community development and urban design. Currently serving as a Senior Planner and Project Manager at Mithun since April 2022, Sandra has contributed to the NE 85th Street Station Area Plan Vision, focusing on form-based code and sustainability. Previous roles include Urban Design Planner at Harvard University, where Sandra was part of a team that won the Harvard President's Administrative Innovation Fund for a placemaking initiative, and Community Planner at McElhanney, working on land development and masterplan projects in Metro Vancouver. Additionally, Sandra has experience as a Design Consultant for Happy City, creating a toolkit to address social isolation through housing design, and as a Strategy Research Transportation Planner Intern at the City of Calgary, researching carshare parking policies. Sandra holds a Master of Planning from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from the same institution.
