Rune Ören Skarphagen

Rune Ören Skarphagen has a long history of working in the IT security and business continuity fields. Rune Ören began their career in 2009 as a Key Account Manager at Interactive Security (Pty) Ltd. In 2012, they moved to Enera International AB as a Business Continuity Consultant, where they had KAM responsibilities in Norway and Sweden. In 2013, they joined UMS - Unified Messaging Systems AS as a Country Manager and Business Continuity Consultant. Here, they worked with UMS Alert, an emergency communication system. In 2016, Skarphagen moved to Kriminalvården as an IT Security Specialist, followed by ClearPoint AB as a Senior IT-Security Consultant. In 2017, they joined Skarphagen Consulting AB as a Senior Consultant and Kvadrat AB in the same year. In 2018, they became an IT Security Specialist, CISO, and Major Incident Manager at ZENUITY. In 2020, they moved to Zenseact as Head of Enterprise & Cyber Security and Head of Corporate IT Security. Most recently, in 2021, Skarphagen joined Mitigram as Chief Information Security Officer | CISO & Data Protection Officer | DPO.

Rune Ören Skarphagen obtained a Bachelor's degree in System, Networking, and LAN/WAN Management/Manager from the University of Trondheim between 2000 and 2002. Rune Ören also holds a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, obtained in September 2022, and a Red Hat Certified Engineer certification from Red Hat.
