Angel Menendez Vazquez has had multiple work experiences in the field of computational biology and data science. In 2018, they worked as a PHD student at King's College London, conducting research on the epigenome of Bronchial Epithelial Cells in the context of Asthma. This project focused on the relevance of BECs in Asthma and their pathological behavior in the disease.

In 2021, Angel worked as a private tutor, teaching beginner data scientists various topics within Data Science, including Python, SQL, Shallow Machine Learning, NLP, and Data Visualization with Tableau. This experience helped him strengthen their knowledge and improve their skills as a communicator and tutor.

Additionally, in 2021, Angel served as a student consultant at Matrica, as part of the King's College London Insight program. Angel collaborated with a diverse team to research funding opportunities and market sentiment for the company, which operates in the energy, AI/ML, and technology markets.

Most recently, starting in May 2023, Angel joined Mitra bio as a Senior Computational Biologist.

Angel Menendez Vazquez pursued their education in a chronological manner. Angel began their education journey in 2013 at the Universidad de Oviedo, where they completed their Grado degree in Biology in the year 2017. Subsequently, in the year 2017, they enrolled in the same university to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Biomedicine and Molecular Oncology, which they completed in 2018. This was followed by their enrollment at King's College London in 2018, where they pursued a Master of Research (MRes) degree in Biomedical and Translational Sciences, completing it in 2019.
