Victoria Dyster is a Senior Bioinformatician at Mitra Bio since November 2023 and serves as Co-Chair and Consulting Advisor for the Pipelines and Visualisations Working Group of the Public Health Alliance for Genomic Epidemiology (PHA4GE). Previously, Victoria held the position of Principal Bioinformatician at the Wellcome Sanger Institute from October 2020 to November 2023, where responsibilities included managing research teams, developing bioinformatics pipelines, and leading international training courses. As the Founding Director of Researchers Code, Victoria directed initiatives to support women in research and technology. Victoria's academic background includes a BA Hons. MSci from the University of Cambridge and participation in the London Interdisciplinary Biosciences BBSRC Doctoral Training Programme at King’s College London, focusing on Computational Biology. Research contributions have been published in prominent journals, and Victoria has received accolades such as an Enrichment Fellowship from The Alan Turing Institute.
