Lab Manager at Mitra Chem

Oliver Hickman has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Their most recent position is as a Lab Manager at Mitra Chem starting in March 2022. Prior to this, from March 2021 to March 2022, they served as a Senior Lab and Facility Manager at PsiQuantum. Before that, Oliver had a long tenure at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, where they held multiple roles. Oliver was a Laser Transport System Installation Manager from October 2018 to February 2021, an Instrument Area Manager for MEC (Matter in Extreme Conditions) from November 2015 to February 2021, a Floor Coordinator Supervisor from January 2014 to November 2015, and a Floor Coordinator from January 2012 to January 2014. In their role as a Floor Coordinator, they had responsibilities such as safety oversight in an x-ray laser facility, technical support of UHV systems, and procedural support. Prior to SLAC, Oliver worked at Anresco Inc. as a Facility Maintenance employee from March 2010 to August 2011. Oliver began their career at the International Organization of Masters, Mates, & Pilots in August 2002, serving as a Second Mate until March 2010. In this role, they developed software to track cargo and produced reports for shipboard use, the US Coast Guard, and cargo owners. Oliver also created a navigational material inventory system implemented on multiple ships.

Oliver Hickman obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Marine Transportation from California State University Maritime Academy, which they attended from 1998 to 2002. In 2004, they enrolled at City College of San Francisco, where they pursued an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Mathematics. The end date for their enrollment at City College of San Francisco is not provided.

In addition to their formal education, Oliver Hickman has acquired several certifications. In 2005, they obtained a Marine Radio Operator Permit from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), followed by a GMDSS Radio Operator's License from the FCC in 2006. In 2015, they obtained the 2014 National Electric Code certification from the National Technology Transfer, Inc. Furthermore, in 2016, they attained a Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit from the FCC and an HA - Amateur - Technician certification, also from the FCC.

More recently, Oliver Hickman has pursued medical certifications. In 2019, they obtained the Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross. In 2020, they achieved the Wilderness First Responder (WFR) certification and the Adult / Child / Infant CPR, AED, and Airway Management certification, both from NOLS Wilderness Medicine. Finally, in 2021, they acquired the Epinephrine Auto-injector certification from the State of California-Emergency Medical Services Authority.
