Brian Irick, PhD, is a seasoned software engineer currently serving as Principal FHIR Software Engineer at MITRE since May 2022. Prior experience includes an extensive tenure at NCQA from September 2013 to May 2022, where Brian held multiple leadership roles, including Assistant Director for Measure Development Systems and Information Systems. Brian led the development of significant software solutions, such as the FHIR CQL digital measure authoring and testing system and various customer-facing enterprise systems. Brian's career began with the founding of OrganizeMyCollection, a company focused on cloud-based software for organizing collectibles. Brian earned a PhD in Mathematics as well as Bachelor's degrees in both Mathematics and Physics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
