Denise Berger

Denise Berger has been a Lead Systems Engineer at MITRE Corporation since 1999 and serves as the CEO of D&E Forestry, a position held since 1998. Denise chaired the City of Leon Valley Tree Advisory Board from July 2009 to January 2023, achieving significant updates to tree care ordinances, promoting annual Arbor Day events, and maintaining Tree City USA designation since 2012. Other leadership roles include Chair of the Nominating Committee at University Baptist Church and President of Northwest Toastmasters. Denise founded and directed a Food Ministry Program at University Baptist Church to support the community. Educational credentials include a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Science in Computer Information Systems from St. Mary's University, and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
