Nick Silverman is an Earth Systems AI/ML Scientist passionate about addressing sustainability challenges related to water, climate, food, and forests through advanced remote sensing, land surface modeling, and machine/deep learning techniques. Currently, they serve as the Principal Earth Systems AI/ML Scientist at MITRE and the Owner and Principal Scientist at Adaptive Hydrology. Previously, they held roles such as Senior Data Scientist at xarvio® Digital Farming Solutions, Research Scientist at the University of Montana, and Water Resource Engineer at Natural Systems Design + Coastal Geologic Services. Nick is actively pursuing a PhD in Hydroclimatology at The University of Montana while holding a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington and a bachelor’s degree in Physics & Engineering from Washington and Lee University.
