Rodney Wheeler

Rodney Wheeler is a Principal Model-Based Systems Engineer and Project Lead at MITRE since September 2019, focusing on establishing Digital Engineering Enterprise capabilities for government sponsors. With extensive experience in systems engineering, Wheeler has held key positions at various organizations including Information Exchange Systems (INEXSYS) and KBRwyle, where responsibilities included supporting missile and space weapon systems architecture, risk assessment, and MBSE implementation. As a longstanding member of AL-TN Trail of Tears Corridor Association, Inc., serving as Past President from 2006 to 2020 and Vice President from 2020 to 2025, Wheeler has been instrumental in volunteering efforts for the nonprofit. An active participant in the INCOSE community, Wheeler has served in leadership roles and contributed to advancing systems engineering best practices. Rodney Wheeler holds a BSE in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The University of Alabama in Huntsville.
