Victoria M. Gammino, PhD, MPH, serves as a Senior Principal Scientist at MITRE since April 2020, focusing on health transformation. Previously, Victoria held the position of Visiting Global Health Scholar at Drexel University’s Dornsife School of Public Health from May 2019 to August 2021. During early 2020, Victoria consulted for HSBC on pandemic preparedness and for National Geographic on emerging pathogens. Victoria also served as Chief Science Officer at Radiant Earth Foundation, a technology non-profit aimed at enhancing access to geospatial data, from March 2018 to May 2019. A notable career at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention spanned nearly 16 years, where roles included Epidemiologist and Epidemic Intelligence Service Officer. Earlier experience includes consulting for various US-based philanthropies focused on global health initiatives. Victoria earned a Ph.D. in International Health from The Johns Hopkins University and an MPH in Epidemiology from Tulane University’s Celia Scott Weatherhead School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
