Hiro Yazawa

Hiro (Yaz) Yazawa is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic planning and management within the materials and metals industries. Currently serving as the General Manager for Assisting the COO in the Performance Materials Division at Mitsubishi Corporation since April 2019, Yazawa has held various leadership roles including General Manager of the Strategic Planning Office and Deputy General Manager of the Materials Businesses Transformation Department. Prior to this, Yazawa was involved in the Iron Ore Department, and earlier held positions in project management and branch leadership at Mitsubishi Corporation and Hernice Ferrochrome (Pty) Ltd. With a strong foundation in business analysis gained at BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance, Yazawa has a comprehensive background in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, complemented by an Advanced Executive Program from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication Theory from Hitotsubashi University.
