Zhibo Wang

Zhibo Wang is a highly experienced engineer with a strong focus on power electronics and high voltage direct current (HVDC) systems. As a Power Electronics Advisory Engineer at Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. since June 2022, Zhibo brings extensive expertise from previous roles including Senior Generation Asset Performance Planner and Senior Protection & Control Engineer at BC Hydro. Zhibo's career spans various positions at Manitoba Hydro, where responsibilities included managing HVDC P&C systems, leading asset strategies, and overseeing commissioning and maintenance of complex infrastructure. Zhibo holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in HVDC and Power Electronics from the University of Manitoba and is currently pursuing a certification in Artificial Intelligence from MIT Sloan School of Management.
