Fumiko Matsunaga

Fumiko Matsunaga currently serves as the Associate Senior Administrator for Strategic & Planning, Industrial Relations at JAXA: Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, beginning in April 2024. Before this role, Fumiko was employed at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries since October 2006, where contributions included serving as Senior Deputy Manager in Global Business Development within the Space Systems Division and previously as Deputy Manager in the same area. Fumiko began a career in the aerospace sector at Rocket System Corporation from April 1997 to September 2006, leading a team focused on sales and marketing and overseeing contractual matters and launch publicity for notable H-IIA launches. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and International Relations from Dokkyo University and additional studies at the International University of Japan in 2019.
