Karann McHugh

Karann McHugh has extensive work experience in the field of human resources. Karann currently serves as the Associate Director of Human Resources at Mizkan America since November 2021. Karann previously held the positions of Senior HR Manager and HR Manager at the same company, where they provided oversight for various HR programs and acted as an HR business partner for 300+ corporate employees. Karann was also responsible for leading HR system implementations.

Prior to their role at Mizkan America, Karann worked at McMaster-Carr as the Employee Relations Manager from April 2007 to December 2016. Karann partnered with all levels of the organization and provided HR leadership and support for up to 550 employees. Karann worked on defining and modernizing the HR function, with a focus on employee relations and performance management.

Before joining McMaster-Carr, Karann gained valuable experience at Hewitt Associates. Karann held various roles, including Senior Project/Program Manager, Project Manager, HR Generalist, Manager of the Learning Resource Center, Training Developer, and Administrative Assistant. In these positions, Karann led HR projects, supported associates and managers, managed training resources, and developed and delivered training curricula.

Karann McHugh, SPHR, holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Management/Administrative Office Management from Eastern Illinois University. Additionally, Karann McHugh is PHR Certified since December 2001 and also obtained SPHR certification in August 2017.
