Anvar Hodjaev

Anvar Hodjaev, CFA, is a seasoned finance professional currently serving as Managing Director of Project Finance, Infrastructure, Energy & Utilities within Debt Capital Markets at Mizuho since August 2022. Responsible for overseeing Loan Syndications, Underwriting, and Global Distribution on Mizuho's top-tier US Project Finance and Infrastructure Platform, Anvar also manages relationships with US and Canadian Energy Corporates and select P&U Corporate Clients. Prior experience includes roles as Managing Director at MUFG, where Anvar led Commercial Banking Healthcare, and Director at Oppenheimer & Co. in Leveraged Finance Capital Markets. Anvar began career involvement in finance as an Associate at CIBC and as Head of Department for the Government of Uzbekistan. Anvar's educational background includes a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Southern California and a BBA in Finance and Economics from Emory University, along with a Bachelor of Science in International Economics from The University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
