Gabriele Bergesio

Gabriele Bergesio has extensive work experience in IT and project management roles. Gabriele began their career as an Electronic Engineer at Vercellotti Giovanni SNC in Italy, where they provided production support for ATM machines and developed new hardware solutions for ATM and security systems.

Gabriele then moved on to work at the City of New York ACS as a Java Developer, where they designed and built a web application using Java technology and provided production support and enhancements.

Bergesio joined UBS Wealth Management as a Senior System Integration Specialist and Project Manager. Here, they spearheaded the migration of the Fixed Income application to a new platform, mentored and trained the QA team, and managed development streams from subcontractors.

Gabriele later joined Mizuho as a Vice President, Project Manager Team Lead, where they provided support and system solutions for trading desks, performed business analysis and project management, and had responsibilities in the Fixed Income space.

At Mizuho, Bergesio progressed to become a Managing Director, first leading the Corporate IT teams in areas of Risk, Finance, Operations, and Compliance, and later heading the Corporate and Banking IT department, mentoring teams and overseeing projects related to areas such as Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Front Office Banking.

Throughout their career, Bergesio has undertaken major projects including system migrations, in-house application development, and implementation of new technologies.

Gabriele Bergesio earned a Master of Science in Information Systems from Stevens Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2006, Gabriele studied Computer Science at Queens College. In addition to their formal education, Gabriele has obtained certifications in the areas of Applied Data Science Program from MIT Professional Education and Digital Technology and Innovation from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, in 2022 and 2021 respectively.
