Joseph Monahan

Joseph Monahan currently serves as Executive Director at Mizuho since May 2024. Prior to this role, Monahan held multiple positions at Citi, including Director and Head of Counterparty Credit Risk Reporting, where significant contributions included developing analysis mechanisms for exposure movements and enhancing reporting standards. At Credit Suisse, Monahan advanced to Vice President in Credit Risk Management, overseeing the delivery and quality of critical risk reports and collaborating with various teams on key risk management projects. Monahan's earlier experience includes roles at Barclays as Assistant Vice President in Counterparty Credit Control, where efforts in validation and adjustment of counterparty exposure significantly reduced RWA impact. Monahan began a career in finance with experience at Tannor Capital Management, Merrill Lynch, and Raymond James Financial, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management with concentrations in Finance and MIS from Binghamton University.
