La Pyae Win has extensive experience in the information security field. They started their career as an IT Security Consultant at Capital Consultants London Ltd, where they provided security services to small and medium-sized businesses, including vulnerability patching, malware analysis, and network security provision.

After that, they worked as a Senior Technical Services Engineer at OpenText, assisting FTSE 100 companies and law enforcement agencies worldwide with Guidance Software security tools. They also supported hardware and software write-blocking devices.

Next, La Pyae Win joined IHS Markit as an Information Security Analyst, specializing in digital forensics and endpoint security. They developed forensic processes, conducted security investigations, and engineered a layered defense approach on corporate endpoints.

They then moved on to MUFG as a Senior Information Security Engineer, where they investigated notable events and responded to threats using various security tools. They also developed SOPs and a Cyber Incident Runbook for incident response.

Currently, La Pyae Win is working at Mizuho as a Principle Security Engineer - Vice President. In this role, they lead the implementation of comprehensive information security programs, including SIEM monitoring, infrastructure security, web and email security, and identity access management. They also facilitate and conduct Red Team/Blue Team attack simulations to enhance the organization's security posture.

Throughout their career, La Pyae Win has obtained certifications in CISSP, GCFA, and EnCE, demonstrating their expertise in the field of information security.

La Pyae Win has a Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology with Business Information Systems from Middlesex University. Prior to that, they completed an International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies (IADCS) from London Metropolitan University in 2003 and an International Diploma in Computer Studies (IDCS) in 2002. La Pyae also has a General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) from Methodist English High School (Dagon 1) in 2000.

In terms of certifications, La Pyae Win holds a CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) Certificate from (ISC)², obtained in May 2018. La Pyae also has several certifications from Guidance Software, including ENCE (EnCase Certified Examiner) obtained in November 2015 and ENCEP (EnCase Certified eDiscovery Practitioner) obtained in September 2016. Additionally, they have a GCFA (GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst) certification from GIAC Certifications obtained in June 2022.
