Sam Schwartz has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Sam started their career as an Auditor at Laventhol & Horwath in 1985 and then worked as a Senior Financial Analyst at JP Morgan from 1987 to 1989. Sam then joined MacAndrews & Forbes as a Director of Corporate Finance from 1989 to 1994. Sam continued their career at Credit Suisse, first as a Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions division from 1994 to 1998, and then as a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division from 2005 to 2007. Sam also served as the Global Head of Mergers & Acquisitions in the Asset Management division at Credit Suisse from 2007 to 2014, and as the CEO of Asset Management Finance from 2013 to 2016. Sam also had a role as a Managing Director and Head of Financial Institutions M&A at Mizuho starting in 2020. Additionally, they held positions as the President of Bryant Park Capital from 2002 to 2005 and as a Managing Director in the Investment Banking Division at Merrill Lynch from 1998 to 2002. Sam was also a Board Director and Investment Committee Member at HighTower from 2013 to 2018.
Sam Schwartz obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Binghamton University from 1982 to 1985. Sam also holds additional certifications, including being a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) obtained from AICPA in 1989, and certifications in Series 7, 24, 63 & 79 from FINRA.
