Mike Sickels

Mike Sickels is an experienced software engineering manager with a strong background in embedded and real-time software development. At Mizuho OSI since May 2017, Mike leads software engineering efforts, previously holding the role of principal software engineer at Abbott Laboratories from July 2009 to May 2014, where C++ and IBM's Rhapsody on Linux were utilized for new product development. Prior to that, Mike was a senior software engineer and team lead at Optiscan Biomedical and served as a principal software engineer at Tyco Healthcare / Puritan Bennett. Mike's career began at Applied Materials Inc., where significant engineering expertise was developed from 1997 to 2003. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Information Systems Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, earned between 2011 and 2015, and earlier studies at the Devry Institute of Technology from 1980 to 1983.
