Jan V. earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Civil Engineering from Kansas State University in 2018, a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the same institution in 2014, and a Bachelor's degree in Structural and Transportation Engineering from Czech Technical University in Prague in 2012.

Welcome to MJ2 Consulting! John Gajda, Matthew D’Ambrosia, and Jonathan Poole formed MJ2 Consulting, PLLC (www.MJ2consulting.com) to focus on solving complex problems for clients in the concrete industry. Mr. Gajda, Dr. D’Ambrosia, and Dr. Poole have extensive expertise in mass concrete planning and analysis, construction troubleshooting, durability and service-life assessment, specialized concrete mixture development, and product development research. Mr. Gajda, FACI is Chair of ACI 301-H and past Chair of ACI 207. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Material Science Engineering from Iowa State University, and was named as “our country’s mass concrete expert” by Concrete Construction magazine in 2008. Dr. D’Ambrosia is chair of ACI 209-C, past chair of ACI 07, and also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Northwestern University. Dr. D’Ambrosia received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Iowa and his M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Poole received a B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Poole served as president of SEAoT Austin Chapter, and was Co-recipient of the Wason Medal for Materials Research in 2011. All three principals serve on numerous ACI committees.
