Desk Based Solutions Architect

Your New Role:

Underpin the communication strategies of our customers by ensuring their network infrastructures are optimally designed, developed and maintained within a fast changing environment.

We architect and manage some of the most complex and secure Data / Voice networks in the Public Sector and Mobile Network Operator market.

Our Public Sector team deliver critical network services to the NHS, Emergency Services Trusted Partner to move NHS sites to a new Health dedicated network environment.

Our Service Provider are a delivery Partner in Vodafone’s Radio network transformation programme.

We are currently the Key Delivery Partner in over 15 major UK network deployments that will enable communication between millions of users in business, the public sector and communities

Responsibilities:

• Speaking to MLL customers and potential customers on the phone/teams to understand requirements and agree the right design. Building relationships to become a trusted advisor and point of contact

• Producing accurate BoM and solution cost models

• Specifying and costing all of the required elements to deliver a successful solution Producing bid content

• Writing content for proposals or bids

• Producing High Level Design documentation Documenting solutions sold for customer sign-off and handover into delivery

• Handing over projects into MLL delivery teams Including working with the teams to deal with any changes required post-sale

• Aiding the wider solutions team

• Helping on large bids, such as gathering pricing, helping with availability checks or writing some bid content

Your areas of knowledge and expertise:

• Technical understanding of WAN technologies WAN circuits, including Fibre Ethernet, Broadband, Mobile and Satellite

• Routing, Switching and Wi-Fi (ideally CCNA or Fortinet NSE3 level or equivalent)

• Security concepts

• Basic knowledge of Cloud technologies and platforms

• Benefit and cost analysis of different technologies

• Experience in customer engagements, design workshops, and requirements gathering activities

• Able to build relationships as a trusted advisor both internally and externally

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to design effective, scalable, and secure integration solutions

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
