Edward Hord has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Edward began their career in 1988 as a Physical Therapy Assistant at the Sports Medicine Fitness and Rehabilitation Center. From 1990 to 1996, they worked as a Laboratory/Research Technician in Physiology/Biophysics at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In 1996, they transitioned into the role of an Intensive Care Registered Nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital. At Baptist Memorial Hospital, they also worked as a Clinical Research Study Coordinator from 1998 to 2001, where they were responsible for patient enrollment and data collection for pharmaceutical and device trials.

In 2001, Edward joined Medtronic Spine & Biologics as a Clinical Research Associate and progressed through various roles such as Supervisor, Manager, and Senior Manager in Clinical Affairs. In these roles, they were responsible for managing IDE studies, conducting FDA site audits, and transitioning studies into post-approval phases. Edward also collaborated with key opinion leaders, attended scientific meetings, and traveled internationally to monitor ongoing device trials.

Since 2009, Edward has been working at MLM Medical Labs as a Sr. Director of Operations – Memphis. In this role, they are responsible for business development, exploring new revenue opportunities, marketing, budget and proposal preparation, project management, and regulatory guidance in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry.

Edward Hord earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Mississippi Medical Center from 1994 to 1996. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Mississippi College from 1992 to 1994. Edward's educational journey began with a major in English at the University of Mississippi, where they attended from 1984 to 1988.
