Stephen Batifol is a Developer Advocate at Zilliz since March 2024, focusing on building LLM demos and showcasing new model features using Python. As a co-organiser of the MLOps community meetup in Berlin since April 2022, Stephen has successfully scaled attendance from zero to approximately 1300 people and manages event logistics and promotions. Previously, as a founding Machine Learning Engineer at Wolt from December 2020 to December 2023, Stephen deployed an ML Platform on Kubernetes, while at Sendinblue from December 2017 to November 2020, Stephen developed AI infrastructure on GCP and implemented fraud detection models. Early career experiences include a research internship at NEC Laboratories Europe focusing on topic modelling and insights for decision-making, an internship at LIMSI - CNRS improving machine translation quality, and as an Android & Front-end developer at En Equipe. Stephen holds a Magistère Jacques Herbrand degree in Computer Science from École Polytechnique and multiple Master's degrees in Machine Learning and Computer Science from prestigious French universities.
