Isabelle Jourdain-Dawe has a diverse work experience in the field of biology and cancer research. Isabelle is currently a Group Leader in Biology at MoA Technology since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Principal Scientist at MoA-Technology starting from 2019. From 2014 to 2019, they worked at the University of Exeter as a Laboratory Head, where they led projects focused on understanding the molecular basis of cancer metastasis. Isabelle also worked as a Lecturer in Cell Biology, coordinated a module, and acted as a mentor/tutor. Isabelle also had experience as a Research Laboratory Manager at The Biotechnology Centre of Oslo in 2013, where they supported the creation of a biology research unit and successfully set up a laboratory. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Post-doctoral Researcher at Cancer Research UK from 2008 to 2012, where they initiated and managed projects related to understanding cellular changes in cancer. Additionally, they created and managed a microscopy platform for the benefit of multiple laboratories. Isabelle's earlier work experience includes being a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Institute of Molecular BioSciences, Massey University from 2005 to 2008 and conducting multiple projects as an Early Career Researcher at INSERM from 2000 to 2004, where they obtained a PhD degree and co-authored three publications.

Isabelle Jourdain-Dawe has a comprehensive education history. Isabelle began their academic journey in 1995 at Université Paul Sabatier, Toulouse III, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry. After completing their undergraduate studies in 1999, they continued their education at University René Descartes, Paris V, where they obtained a Master's degree in Biology of Ageing in 2000.

Isabelle's passion for scientific research led their to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the same institution, University René Descartes, Paris V, from 2000 to 2004. Isabelle'sdoctoral studies enabled their to deepen their knowledge and expertise in their field of interest.

In 2015, Isabelle decided to explore the field of Higher Education Administration and enrolled at the University of Exeter. During their time there, they attained the degree of Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in Higher Education. This program provided their with the necessary skills and understanding to navigate the administrative side of higher education.

Aside from their formal degree programs, Isabelle also pursued additional certifications to enhance their professional skills. In 2016, they obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice from The Higher Education Academy (UK). This certification further solidified their expertise in the academic realm.

Continuing their commitment to professional development, Isabelle obtained the certification "Managing safely" from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) in March 2022. This certification demonstrates their dedication to ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
