Åsa Waltermo

Åsa Waltermo has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Åsa currently serves as a Senior Pharmaceutical Manager at Moberg Pharma AB, a position they started in November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at AstraZeneca as a Senior Process Engineer from June 2018 to November 2021. Before joining AstraZeneca, Åsa was a Research Manager at Johnson & Johnson from 2007 to 2018. Åsa also has experience as a Research Associate at Pfizer Health AB from 2004 to 2006, a Senior Research Scientist at Pharmacia AB from 2001 to 2003, and a Research Scientist at Pharmacia & Upjohn from 1997 to 2000. Their career in the industry began as a Research Student at the YKI Institute for Surface Chemistry in 1990, where they worked until 1996.

Åsa Waltermo completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Umeå University from 1985 to 1989. Åsa then pursued further education at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physical Chemistry with a specialization in Surface Chemistry from 1990 to 1996.
