Funmi Adewara has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Starting in 2005, they worked as a Pre-registration House Officer at National Hospital Abuja and then as a Senior House Officer at National Assembly Clinic in 2006. In 2007, they began working as a Physician in General Medicine across various NHS Trusts, gaining over a decade of postgraduate clinical experience. During this time, they developed a special interest in Telemedicine, Telehealth, Biotech innovations, drug development, medical devices, and diagnostics. From 2008 to 2016, Funmi held executive director positions at Bresson A.S Nigeria Limited Independent Power Producer and Bresson Energy Limited, playing key roles in business development and financial strategy. In 2009, they also served as an Executive Director at Transnational Energy Corporations, TEC. In 2010, they joined Transnational Energy Limited as an Executive Director, contributing to the strategic acquisition of Chevron's Hely Creek and Abigborodo marginal fields in OML 49. Funmi's work experience also includes a role as a Drug Safety Physician at an unspecified company from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, they pursued further education at the University of Cambridge, completing the Master's in Bioscience Enterprise (MBE) program from 2009 to 2011. Finally, in 2017, Funmi founded Mobihealth International and currently holds the role of CEO/Founder.
Funmi Adewara began their education at the University of Ibadan in 1997, where they pursued a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in the field of Medicine. Funmi successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2005.
In 2009, Funmi Adewara enrolled at the University of Cambridge to pursue a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree in Bioscience Enterprise, specializing in Biotechnology. Funmi completed their postgraduate studies in 2011.
