Nirupama Mallavarupu has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Nirupama founded and served as the CEO of MobileArq, a fundraising and directory software company for school districts, PTAs, and non-profits. At MobileArq, they developed an innovative online platform and converted school data into a user-friendly app for parents.

Nirupama also worked at IBM as a CyberSecurity professional and held the position of Director of Engineering at Bluenog. At Bluenog, they managed the launch of customer portals and led the development of a content management system for educational and financial institutions. Nirupama also set up and managed an offshore team for engineering projects.

Prior to Bluenog, Nirupama worked at SiteAcuity as a Software Architect and Lead Developer. Nirupama was responsible for architecting and building a marketing analytics and customer service product, which received the "Best Startup Product" award.

Nirupama's early career includes roles as a Technical Lead at Sun Microsystems, Senior Member of Technical Staff at Oracle, and Member of Technical Staff at Transarc Corporation.

Their work experience demonstrates their expertise in various aspects of software development, including architecture, management, and innovation.

Nirupama Mallavarupu received their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) from 1986 to 1989. Nirupama further pursued their education at the Georgia Institute of Technology, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 1991 to 1993. Additionally, they have acquired several certifications throughout their career, including the IBM Certified Enterprise Design Practitioner from IBM in June 2019, the IBM Cloud Private Infrastructure and Architecture from IBM in January 2021, and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in February 2023.
